SVP Clinical Services
Jill Bayless serves as Senior Vice President Clinical Services for Community Hospital Corporation. In this role, she oversees the clinical excellence of CHC affiliated hospitals and provides consulting services to CHC Consulting clients.
Jill brings more than 30 years of clinical expertise to CHC. Most recently, she was Chief Nursing Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Longview Regional Medical Center in Longview, Texas for more than 13 years, where she provided clinical and operational oversight for several clinical departments. She also led nurse recruitment and development, served on leadership and medical staff groups, coordinated annual business planning, and oversaw new emergency department construction, clinical program and facility expansion.
Jill previously held Chief Nursing Officer positions at Dauterive Hospital, New Iberia, La., and Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Lafayette
Jill is a Healthcare Accreditation Certified Professional (HACP). This certification identifies Jill as a professional with an advanced level of knowledge and understanding of CMS and Joint Commission standards and regulations. She is also a Certified Nurse Executive-Advanced, a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and a Board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner.
Jill earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Arkansas Tech University, a Master of Science in Nursing from Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, La., and a post-masters certificate as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Massachusetts-Boston.
SVP Quality, Patient Safety and Care Management
As Senior Vice President of Quality, Patient Safety and Care Management, Amy Boykin guides clinical excellence for CHC affiliated hospitals and provides consulting services to Community Hospital Consulting clients. With close to 30 years of experience, Amy provides expertise in nursing practices and hospital operations to CHC.
Prior to joining CHC, Amy served as Vice President of Quality, Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance for Methodist Healthcare System–San Antonio. Amy’s background also includes eight years of experience within the Baylor Health Care System in a variety of leadership positions. Amy has worked as Corporate Director of Hospital Accreditation and Licensure; Director of Health Care Improvement and Risk Management for Baylor Regional Medical Center in Grapevine, Texas; a Clinical Risk Manager at the Dallas campus in Dallas, Texas; and Director of Quality and Risk Management for the Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation.
Amy is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM), and a Certified Joint Commission Professional (CJCP). She holds an Associate Degree in Nursing from the University of Arkansas at Monticello, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center–Denver, and a Master of Science in Health Care Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington.
VP Clinical Services Post-Acute Services
Sally Parnell serves as VP of Clinical Services for Post-Acute Services for CHC. In this role, she guides clinical excellence for the Long Term Acute Care Hospitals (LTACH) and any post-acute care facility managed by CHC.
Sally brings over 30 years of experience in healthcare management and nursing practice to CHC, including CEO/administrator roles at a national level with oversight of operations, financial management, development and clinical quality. She has helped to develop post-acute care services – including skilled nursing, hospice and rehabilitation – implement clinical policies, procedures and training, and facilitate licensure and accreditation survey activities.
Prior to joining CHC, Sally served as Vice President of Clinical Operations for Gentiva Health Services’ Hospice division for six years, and as Vice President of Quality for Select Medical Corporation for two years. As Chief Clinical Officer at SemperCare, Inc. (later sold to Select Medical) she helped to build and operationalize 17 hospitals. Sally has also served as CEO of Compass Hospital of Dallas, CEO/Administrator of American Transitional Hospitals-Dallas/Fort Worth, and as a surveyor for The Joint Commission. She spent her early nursing career in director roles for rehabilitation hospitals.
Sally is a Healthcare Accreditation Certified Professional (HACP) and earned a Diploma in Nursing from Helene Fuld Nursing School in Trenton, New Jersey. Her Bachelor of Science in Nursing is from Stockton State College, Pomona, New Jersey, and her Master of Science in Nursing Administration is from Widener University, Chester, Pennsylvania.
Senior Perioperative Consultant
Sherri Aleksejczyk is part of CHC’s Clinical Quality team and serves as Senior Perioperative Consultant. In her role, she works with Perioperative Services at CHC’s owned and managed hospitals and completes perioperative operational assessments for new facilities.
She brings more than 14 years of experience in hospital management and ambulatory surgery centers, with a focus on quality and risk management. Concurrently, Sherri serves as a Medicare deemed status Accreditation Surveyor for the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. Previously, she was Director of Quality/Risk for HCA’s Ambulatory Surgery Division-Gulf Coast, which encompassed the Houston/San Antonio/McAllen area. Prior, she worked with HCA’s Ambulatory Surgery & Hospital Divisions-Gulf Coast as OR Manager, Director of Surgical and Outpatient Services at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center, ASC Administrator and Clinical Director at various facilities. Her clinical work includes serving as the Nurse Manager of Surgical Services for Park Plaza Hospital and Harris County-Lyndon B. Johnson General Hospital, both in Houston.
She has served as a classroom and clinical instructor for San Jacinto Junior College School of Surgical Technology-Pasadena, Texas. Sherri’s professional memberships and certifications include: Member, Association of Operating Room Nurses, Certified Nurse Operating Room-CNOR, and Healthcare Accreditation Certified Professional-HACP. Her education includes a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of St. Thomas School of Nursing-Houston, Operating Room internship-The Methodist Hospital-Houston and Nurse Manager Residency program Harris County Hospital District-Houston.
Maureen Winchell serves as Quality Consultant for CHC. In her current role, she consults on quality improvement programs, Joint Commission or CMS Survey preparedness, and all other quality management issues.
Prior to joining CHC, Maureen served in the same capacity for 15 years at Baptist Beaumont Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. She also has experience directing Quality/Risk Management at Park Place Medical Center in Port Arthur, Texas, and Quality/Resource Management at Beaumont Medical and Surgical Hospital. Maureen has pharmaceutical sales, health department case management and nursing experience.
Maureen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Texas. She is also a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality and a Hospital Accreditation Certified Professional.
Vickie Dove is a Clinical Consultant specializing in Perioperative Services for CHC. In this role, she handles Perioperative Operational Assessments including evaluating and improving the surgical service line in such areas as management operations, regulatory compliance, employee performance, surgeon success and patient satisfaction. She analyzes turnover rate, supply availability and processing, productivity, infection control, employee morale, education and training, scheduling, surgical staff competency, patient wait times and discharge processes. She has also served in several interim CNO roles for CHC Consulting clients. Vickie brings more than 35 years of clinical and nursing experience to CHC.
Vickie’s work at CHC builds on accomplishments in previous roles, including Chief Nursing Officer and Director of Surgical Services at Mary Black Memorial Hospital in Spartanburg, SC, where she decreased the nursing vacancy rate from 10 percent to 4 percent and eliminated the hospital’s reliance on nursing agencies.
Vickie received an Associate of Applied Science degree from the University of Kentucky in Maysville and also completed coursework toward a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree and an MBA at Bellarmine College in Louisville, KY, and the University of South Carolina, respectively.
Vickie’s community and professional organization participation has included the Association of Perioperative Nurses, the board of ReGenesis Community Health Center in Spartanburg and the investigative review board for the South Carolina Board of Nurses.
