Community Hospital Corporation Builds Post-Acute Team

PLANO, TX – (Oct. 20, 2015) – In response to a growing client base, Community Hospital Corporation (CHC) announces new corporate staff to further strengthen CHC’s depth of expertise to help where hospitals need it.


“CHC owns, manages and consults with community hospitals, and has served hospitals in 26 states,” said Wilson Weber, CHC’s Executive VP and COO. “Part of our focus is serving long-term acute care hospitals, or LTACHs, through our CHC ContinueCARE organization. We have expanded our team due to the tremendous growth from our first LTACH – Tyler ContinueCARE – to our current nine owned LTACHs. We also plan to open two additional facilities over the next few months.”


Leslie Boney, CHC’s SVP for Post-Acute Services, added, “As LTACHs across the county adapt to meet new regulatory requirements [based on the Final Rule for LTACH PPS effective Oct. 1], we are poised to assist with their challenges and to help improve their clinical care and operational performance. We are fortunate to have a talented team to do so.”


Recent additions to the Post-Acute Services team include:  


Rozila Aziz is Senior Staff Accountant for Post-Acute Services. Most recently, she completed a contract assignment at Orthofix in Lewisville, Texas, after having worked for VeriteQ Corporation of Delray Beach, Fla. as Senior Accountant. She holds a CPA license and has served in several accounting positions in Florida before coming to Texas.


Amy Bartley is Billing and Collection Specialist for Post-Acute Services, supporting the central business office functions. She served prior as Patient Account Representative III for St. Agnes Hospital in Lansdowne, Md., and as Patient Account Specialist for Cymetrix, an Insurance Collector for Total Sleep, Inc. and a Billing Specialist for Fundamental LTC.


Lindsey Broucher is Corporate Manager of Community Relations for Post-Acute Services, and works with community liaisons at CHC’s LTACHs. Most recently, her roles with Harbor Healthcare System, Beaumont, Texas, included serving as Community Education Coordinator for the system’s LTACH and as Marketing Service Coordinator for their Hospice/Home Healthcare divisions. Lindsey is a Certified Respiratory Technologist.


Julie Brown is Corporate Regional Coding Manager for Post-Acute Services. She works with the Post-Acute Services team and care management to provide coding and training for CHC’s LTACHs, and assists with ICD-10 training and implementation. Prior, she was Director of HIM/Billing at Integrity Transitional Hospital-Denton, Texas. She is a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT).


Twylia Ford is Senior Billing and Collection Specialist for Post-Acute Services and works with the Central Business Office team. She has worked in billing and collections for Cornerstone Healthcare Group, Baylor Health Care System, Methodist Richardson Medical Center (formerly Richardson Regional Medical Center) and as payment administrator for Pediatrix Medical Group.


Tonya Harris is Benefits Verification Specialist for Post-Acute Services, supporting the central business office functions. She held previous roles in insurance verification and authorization with Stonegate Care Team, Intrepid USA, and Cornerstone Health Group/Solara Healthcare.


Rosanna Ramon is Cash Poster/Charge Data Specialist for Post-Acute Services. She held previous roles in medical billing and collections for Gaffrey Healthcare, Vibrahealthcare, Amerita Inc., and U.S. Renal Care, Inc.


Ivonne Ruiz is Accounts Payable/Payroll Specialist for Post-Acute Services. Before assuming this role, Ivonne supported the CHC finance team on a temporary basis. Prior to CHC, she worked for Accountemps, a Robert Half Company, and served for several years as Assistant Controller for real estate firm CBRE, Inc.


Lakeisha “Keisha” Tolbert is Corporate Director, Health Information Management & Coding for Post-Acute Services. She assists the HIM departments of CHC’s LTACHs in developing standardized policies and procedures, and streamlining processes for this division for medical record adherence to state and federal requirements. Keisha has 13 years of HIM experience, most recently as HIM Director/HIPAA Officer for Methodist McKinney Hospital, McKinney, Texas.


Velma Tyson is Director of Care Management for Post-Acute Services. She has 25 years of experience in clinical practice, quality management and operations leadership. Prior to CHC, she served as Interim Director of Case Management with Life Care Management Services of Plano, Texas, and has held executive roles with Regency Hospital Company, an LTACH in Alpharetta, Ga., WellPoint Inc., and Biologics, Inc., an oncologic pharmaceutical firm in Raleigh, N.C.
