CHC Supply Standardization Update

CHC has rolled out 21 category standardization initiatives on the national monthly supply chain calls over the last 18 months, measuring a total conversion savings potential of ~$1.9 million. Our most recent standardization categories included Microbiology Culture Media (Remel), Advanced Wound Care (Medline), Carter-Thomason Port Closure Devices (ROi), and Patient Slippers (ASP Global).

The goal for these initiatives is to achieve conversion savings, while also strengthening your facility’s HealthTrust contract performance. The products selected have a high level of clinical acceptability, and deliver the same or better quality of care to your patients. The activity around these initiatives are being tracked on the Realized & Lost Savings Report, which is updated and distributed monthly.
