Community Hospital Corporation Announces New Supply Chain Vice President Jose Pluguez
PLANO, TX – (May 4, 2017) – In response to the growth of CHC Supply Trust, the supply chain services arm of Community Hospital Corporation and CHC Consulting, CHC announces the addition of Jose Pluguez as Vice President of Supply Chain. In this new role, Pluguez is responsible for implementing and administrating a quality-based, comprehensive supply chain management strategy for CHC’s supply expenditures and resource utilization. He brings more than 20 years of experience in directing supply chain and support services to CHC.

Before joining CHC, Pluguez was the Executive Director of Supply Chain Management at Adventist Health in Bakersfield, Calif. Prior, he spent 20 years as the Chief of Medical Logistics in Support Services Management for the U.S. Air Forces. Throughout his years of service with the U.S. Air Force, Pluguez received numerous awards including the 5th Air Force Airman of the Year Award in 1997, five awards for Air Force Material Account of the Year (1997, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2007), and was named 5th Air Force Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year twice (2002, 2010). In addition to these accomplishments, Pluguez was chosen to partner with the DEA on the first-ever Air Force Prescription Drug Take-Back Program, and was hand-selected to provide medical logistics support for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Pluguez holds an Associate Degree in Logistics Management from the Community College of the Air Force and a Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Andrew’s University. He is also a Certified Material Resource Professional (CMRP) through the American Hospital Association, a Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) through the Institute for Supply Management, and a Certified Master Negotiator through the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School.
