Community Hospital Corporation Named Among The Dallas Morning News’ 2016 Top 100 Places to Work

Plano, TX (November 17, 2016) – Today, Community Hospital Corporation (CHC), which owns, manages and consults with hospitals nationwide, was named among The Dallas Morning News’ 2016 Top 100 Places to Work. This is the second year CHC has been named a winner in the small company category.

“We are honored to receive this prestigious, top employer recognition,” said Michael D. Williams, CHC president and CEO, and founder of the organization. “This is truly a tribute to our culture, work environment, and passion for our mission of advancing community healthcare. Our culture is one that is based principally on the concept of respect – respect for each other and for the community hospitals we serve every day.”

Williams described the CHC culture as “that indescribable asset that makes you wake up in the morning and want to go to work and when you leave the office each day, it means knowing you made a difference in the communities we serve.”

CHC was selected among The Dallas Morning News’ 2016 Top 100 Places to Work in the Dallas-Fort Worth area based on an independent and anonymous survey of its employees, conducted by Workplace Dynamics, The Dallas Morning News’ research partner.

CHC was established in 1996 by a group of not-for-profit and community-owned healthcare systems with the intention of preserving the not-for-profit status of community-based hospitals. Driven by the passion they shared, this group of organizations formed CHC to protect community hospitals from acquisition by investor-owned hospital systems. Williams was CHC’s first employee and leader.

Celebrating CHC’s employee retention, Laurie Breedlove, Senior Vice President of Human Resources for CHC, shared: “We have many employees who have been on board five years or more, and we continue to add to our teams of experts.”

CHC has experienced tremendous growth over the past few years. Breedlove added, “As we embrace and rise to the opportunity to serve more community hospitals around the country and help with their challenges, we remain committed to finding the right talent and expertise that fit our culture and live our RISE values, which stand for Respect, Integrity, Stewardship and Excellence.”

Williams noted, “As we grow our organization – one employee at a time – we know that the face and future for the community hospitals we serve will be bright. The Dallas Morning News’ award is testament of our daily work to uphold our mission to guide, support and enhance the mission of community hospitals and healthcare providers. We do that by bringing our teams together and creating strong relationships with hospital and hospital board leadership.” See CHC’s hospitals and hospital clients.
