ContinueCARE Hospital: MMH’s long-term care facility offers compassionate care

When a patient is ready to be discharged from a general acute care hospital, but is still very sick with a complex medical condition, a long-term acute care hospital is often a viable option for treatment. LTCHs provide a bridge between the general acute care hospital and lower level of care. LTCH patients benefit from a longer period of recovery and around-the-clock care.

In the Midland and Odessa area, patients and families have come to rely on ContinueCARE Hospital at Midland Memorial Hospital — their community LTCH — for compassionate care and intensive treatment. Licensed under Medicare as a long-term acute care hospital, ContinueCARE Hospital at Midland Memorial opened in October 2013 on the third floor of Midland Memorial Hospital West Campus.
