Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center, La Junta, Colorado, is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital serving the health and well-being of individuals and families in southeastern Colorado.
The 129,300 (76,500 plus 52,800 new) square-foot main building began operations in 1971. We have continued to improve our facilities and upgrade equipment through funds generated from medical center operations.
Embracing our role as community caretakers, we strive to ensure equal health care access for everyone. At Arkansas Valley Regional Medical Center, we provide general medical and surgical care for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency room patients, and participate in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. Our Emergency room services are available on a 24-hour per day, seven-day per week basis.
Our hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission. Joint Commission accreditation is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects an organization’s commitment to meeting certain performance standards.
