St. Mark’s Medical Center Welcomes Orthopedic Surgeon Richie Edeen, MD to Medical Staff

La Grange, TX, (August 15, 2018) St. Mark’s Medical Center is pleased to welcome Richie Edeen, MD, to its medical staff. A skilled orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Edeen joins orthopedist Dr. Russell Clark, MD in practice, and begins seeing patients Sept. 5, in the La Grange Medical Office Building clinic.

Dr. Edeen completed his medical school and Orthopedic training at the University of Texas Health Science Center-San Antonio, prior to recently finishing an arthroscopic surgery and advanced sports medicine fellowship at The Cincinnati Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Cincinnati facility specializes in the treatment of orthopedic and sports injuries of the joints and muscles of the knee, shoulder, elbow, foot, ankle and hip.

His first-hand clinical sports experience coupled with his wide breadth of orthopedic talents is a timely and essential addition to our existing clinical capabilities as we continue to care for the health of our community.”

During and after his medical training, Dr. Edeen wrote multiple clinical and management articles, was an assistant team physician for the Cincinnati Bengals and was a distinguished student leader.

Prior to his medical school matriculation, he was a full-time athletic trainer for UT-Austin Longhorn Athletics, Austin-area high schools, the New York Giants Football organization, and the Friday Night Lights television series.
