Karen Labonte
Vice President of Clinical and Regulatory Support
Karen Labonte serves as Vice President of Clinical and Regulatory Support at CHC. In this role, she supports clinical, quality, productivity and regulatory compliance initiatives for CHC’s owned, managed and leased facilities. She also serves as the lead consultant for perioperative and procedural survey preparation. Karen brings more than 30 years of nursing and clinical leadership experience to this role.
Prior to joining CHC, Karen served most recently as Chief Nursing Officer for Southwest Health System in Cortez, Colo. Previously, she served as CNO for a five-hospital healthcare system in Northwest Arkansas. Through her career Karen gained specialized clinical expertise in several areas including labor and delivery, operating room and cardiovascular operating room. Previously, she has worked in leadership roles in obstetrics, medical surgical, operating room and quality before reaching the level of Chief Nursing Officer in 2009.
Karen holds an Associate’s Degree in Nursing from Southern Arkansas University, a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Maine in Fort Kent, Maine and a Master of Science in Nursing from Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois.
