Verna Walker
Corporate Manager Community Relations Post-Acute Services
Verna Walker is the Corporate Manager of Community Relations for Post-Acute Services at CHC. In this role, she oversees community and physician relations efforts, including referral development, across all ContinueCARE Hospitals. Prior to joining CHC, Verna worked in Wound Care Management as a Program Director at Healogics. She brings over 14 years of long-term acute care experience and over 20 years of progressive management skills to the team.
After beginning her healthcare career with LifeCare Hospitals of South Texas, Verna held several leadership positions including serving as the Director of Business Development for Solara Healthcare, Triumph Healthcare and Encore Healthcare, respectively. In addition, Verna spent two years with Kindred Healthcare as the District Director of Sales and Marketing, overseeing five hospitals in three states.
Verna holds an Associate Degree in Business and Finance from the University of Texas–Pan American in Edinburg, Texas.
